2000 Doctor of Sciences (second Russian doctoral degree) in Condensed Matter Physics obtained at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics (Siberian Branch of Russian Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Russia). Doctor Thesis entitled “An interaction between electrons and acoustic phonons in low-dimensional semiconductor systems”.

1988 Candidate of Sciences degree (Russian equivalent of Ph.D.) in Condensed Matter Physics obtained at the Institute of Semiconductor Physics (Siberian Branch of USSR Academy of Sciences, Novosibirsk, Soviet Union). Candidate Thesis entitled “Deformation effects in quasi-two-dimensional semiconductor systems”.

1982 Engineer-Physicist Diploma (with Distinction) in Physical Electronics obtained at the Novosibirsk State Technical University (Novosibirsk, Soviet Union). Diploma Thesis entitled “An energy spectrum of charge carriers in quantum-size films of semiconductors”.
